Local businesses, libraries, and charities partner with Looma to become Safe Zones, real places you visit in person to earn rewards. We verify that you are really there without ever tracking your location, and there is no way to fake a check-in from home.
Walk into a registered partner location: a local shop, library, community centre, or charity. Safe Zones are physical places, not coordinates on a map.
Tap your phone on the partner's check-in terminal. It securely confirms you are really there, no GPS, nothing stored about where you've been. We just know you checked in.
Scan another user's QR code to confirm you are both there, together. Both of you must be in the same Safe Zone, in the same session. Real connection, in real space.
Every rule lives on our servers, never on your phone. Nothing about eligibility or rewards can be faked or tampered with on the device itself.
We never ask for or store your location, ever. Checking in happens through a secure handshake with the terminal itself, not GPS.
Each check-in uses a secure code that changes every few seconds and cannot be copied, faked, or automated. Hard to cheat, easy to trust.
Every exchange is checked against age-appropriate safety rules, every single time. Kids under 13 cannot take part at all, and safety tiers cannot be changed or gamed.
Peer interactions happen face-to-face, with real scanning, not background pings. The best moments in Looma Community happen when both phones are face-down.

And no one's personal information is ever shared. Businesses just see overall numbers, never who anyone is.
